NRCA Executive Vice President, Bill Good is featured in the February, 2015 issue of Builder and Developer magazine.
According to Good, the roof can be the single most important component of a home when it comes to energy conservation. Therefore, he expects to see continued attention paid to residential roofs in 2015 because of the importance of the environment.
In addition, he encourages home builders to always hire reputable contractors and to not always go with the one with the lowest bid.
“There are plenty of good contractors out there – and they are insured, licensed (if necessary) and can provide references. They also work safely. Selecting contractors only based on price no longer makes any sense,” Good says.
Builder and Developer magazine is a national homebuilding trade magazine with a focus on production housing.
