Deadline for Entries for the CNA/NRCA Community Involvement Award is Approaching!

CNA2

For the fourth year, NRCA and CNA, Chicago have partnered to co-sponsor the 2016 CNA/NRCA Community Involvement Award.

NRCA roofing contractor members are urged to submit any charitable project, activity or donation completed between Jan. 1, 2015, and Dec. 31, 2015, for consideration in the awards program, which shines a light on the roofing industry’s charitable works.

One winning charity will receive $5,000. Two honorable mentions will each receive $1,000. The deadline for submissions is Dec. 31, 2015.

Any charitable project undertaken by an NRCA contractor member is eligible to receive the award. Projects, activities or donations do not have to involve roofing work.

2015 winner, Delta Exteriors, St. Louis, worked with Stray Rescue of St. Louis to save abandoned and neglected animals. The company made a monetary donation and also created a marketing campaign that noted for every roof Delta Exteriors completed, the company would pay for the adoption process of an animal.

Award submissions must include supporting information regarding the charitable work performed (a minimum of 100-word description is required). In addition, a testimonial letter from the receiving charity should explain how the charitable work or donation helped its operations.

To submit an entry, click here to download an entry form. Complete the form and mail it with your supporting material to Charlotte Norgaard, c/o NRCA 10255 W. Higgins Road, Suite 600, Rosemont, IL 60018.

The awards will be presented during NRCA’s Awards Ceremony and Cocktail Reception, Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2016, during NRCA’s 129th Annual Convention in Orlando, Fla. For more information, contact Charlotte Norgaard, NRCA’s media relations manager, at (847) 493-7548.
