NRCA is proud to congratulate member Antis Roofing & Waterproofing, Irvine, Calif., for winning the 2017 U.S. Chamber of Commerce Corporate Citizenship Award in the Best Corporate Steward, Small and Mid-Sized Market Business Category.
The Corporate Citizenship Awards honor businesses for their significant positive impacts in communities around the world.
During the past year, Charles Antis, founder and CEO of Antis Roofing & Waterproofing, and his staff donated more than $700,000 through cash and in-kind donations to more than 40 Orange County, Calif., nonprofit organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, Alzheimer’s Orange County, Ronald McDonald House, Boys & Girls Club of Garden Grove, OneOC, Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation and Families Forward.
Antis has donated 10 large-scale maintenance projects and 100 leak repairs for families enduring hardship and honors employee requests for pro bono work to aid families in need.
“The Antis team is all-in on putting ‘people before profit,’ keeping families safe and dry, and saying ‘yes’ to our nonprofit stakeholders and families in need in our community. We believe it is our civic duty to do so,” Antis says. “By chasing fulfillment and impact instead of profit, we have discovered a better way of living.”
The roofing industry is familiar with the extent of Antis’ charitable giving. Earlier in 2017, his company won the CNA/NRCA Community Involvement Award, which honors charitable works performed by NRCA contractor members. Antis Roofing & Waterproofing was recognized for the Antis Foundation, a nonprofit founded in 2016 to take care of the people of Orange County by helping dozens of area charitable organizations.
